Making a suv into a convas top like a jeep?

yeah i want to buy an old bronco or even a newer one into a soft top like a jeep, has anybody done this or know how hard ti would be to undertake, i like jeep but they are over priced and problematic so maybe just a cheap old bronco or explorer blzer...etc...thx
