Did you find Alfred Hitch's movie "The Birds" scary?

We saw it in cl and I couldn't stop myself from constantly laughing. I think my teacher was getting pissed. ahaha it was just too funny. Everyone else got freaked out which I didn't understand.....it was JUST birds....
