Could the doctor have punctured a hole in my sons lungs while removing fluid?

My son was recently born and at first evalution they noticed a little fluid in his lungs, they did a chest xray and seen the fluid, They did not see a hole in the first xray, but magically they found one in the second xray after they suctioned the mucus out of his lungs.... Now he has to remain in the Nicu For another week for treatment
