Set up an coount on myspace (www.myspace.com). I work in a pharmacy and helped a patient whose daughter had a brain tumor. She had no health insurance and doctors would not help without it. I helped her set up a page on myspace and told her to giva a card with the adress on it to everyone she could so that word of mouth would help. She needed about $100,000 for the operation. She was able to raise $26,000 in 1 month, but a doctor was contacted by one of the people who had the card and said he would do the operation, but needed $30,000 for use of the hospital and equipment. He footed the extra $4000 and told her to pay it back whenever she can. Her daughter was operated on 2 weeks ago and will make a full recovery.
